Hey Everyone!
After a turbulent flight, we finally made it to Newark. We were met with rain, but it was nice to be on the ground. Ms. Jeannie, Stacy, and I took a car into the city and were greeted by Mom and Aunt Yolanda. We gave the tour, got settled, and packed up to head to the HAMPTONS! But first, we trekked in the rain for dinner at Cafe du Soleil, just a block or so away. Then, we hopped in the car for the 2 hour rainy drive out to Bridgehampton. It was very dark when we got out there, so we couldn't really give Ms. Jeannie and Stacy a good view of the towns. We arrived at the house at about 9:45pm and were greeted by Ali and her "friend" Mike (he's very nice, we like him.) We did the tour and chatted (over wine for some, over iced tea for others) before retreating to our rooms. Stacy and I watched the movie Fired Up (and by Stacy and I, I mean Stacy, because I fell asleep.)
When we woke up this morning, the weather was BEAUTIFUL. It wasn't too hot and it was very sunny. Breakfast was a big production. Ali made a frittata, Mike fried up the bacon, we had fruit, muffins, it was delicious! We then perched ourselves poolside for the majority of the day, soaking up the sun and listening to XM Radio. At about 2:30 we grilled out hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch (also delicious.) Zack, catching a whiff of the grill from across the Hamptons, appeared with Chloe just in time for his afternoon snack. We cleaned up lunch and then engaged in a friendly tennis match (if you could even call it that.) We started out 2-on-1, Ali and Mike v. Mom. When that wasn't working Aunt Yolanda joined Mom's team and they played some doubles (don't worry, I have video!) Then when Aunt Yolanda had to get ready for her dinner party, I stepped in to the match. Let me just give a brief overview of my tennis skills-- I have none. Therefore, I found it best to spend my time dancing to the rap music we had playing, rather than attempt to mess up the game. The tennis racket became more of a dance prop than a piece of sports equipment (don't worry, this is not on video!) Aunt Yolanda and Uncle Alvin went to their dinner party, Zack and Chloe went out to dinner, and Ali and Mike lingered at the house before heading out to dinner. Mom, Ms. Jeannie, Stacy and I ordered in and watched a movie, it was very relaxing. In a minute we will probably start another movie, and Ali and Mike were talking about us making smores when they got back. But, it looks like the rest of the evening will be nice.
Tomorrow morning we are taking the Jitney back into the city so Stacy and I can make it to orientation for Open Jar at 2pm. Then I will have my computer and I will upload photos and video from the last 48+ hours. So far it has been absolutely fantastic, I hope the rest of the week is just as great.
xoxo,

Sounds like a great start to your trip. I wish I could have been there to see the tennis match; you'll have to show me the video! I'll be checking your blog daily to see what's happening in your world.
